The Hennessey Venom GT, which is already one of the fastest cars in the world, has got more power; the hyper car will now boast of 1451bhp at 7500rpm, which is 207bhp up from the previous generation. The official debut of the high powered hyper car will take place at the SEMA Show starting from 3 November in the US. Ahead of the unveil, Hennessey released pictures.
Draped in bright yellow, the 2016 Venom GT gets increased power and torque with the E85 Flexfuel which allows its 7.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine to increase boost pressure from 19 psi to 26 psi.
The 2016 Venom GT with higher output is expected to register new record compared to the previous generation Venom's claimed top speed of 435.1kmph at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida in 2014. Hennessey claims the new Venom GT will hit the top speed of over 450.6kmph.
The new Venom GT features Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres that will put the higher power to the ground via GPS-based traction control system. The hyper car weights 1244 kg which give the vehicle better power to weight ratio.
"We are intent on keeping the Venom as the fastest, best performing and most exciting hyper car on the road" said John Hennessey, founder and president of Hennessey Performance Engineering.
Hennessey also detailed the next Venom in the pipeline. "We only plan to produce a handful of Venom GT's in 2016 as we are also preparing for our next evolution, the Venom F5", he said.
Apart from the 2016 Venom GT, Hennessey will showcase 774bhp supercharged Mustang convertible and 650bhp VelociRaptor 650 supercharged Ford F-150 Truck at 2015 SEMA Show.
