2016 Ford Endeavour: Full specifications, price list, features, mileage and everything you need to know

US auto Major Ford has pulled the cover off its new generation Endeavour SUV in India with a price tag starting at Rs 24.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The third generation Endeavour, which made its debut in the country on 20 January, is the first launch of Ford in 2016 and their third offering in the financial year 2015-16 after Figo hatchback and Figo Aspire compact sedan.

Ford Endeavour, the full-sized seven seater SUV which is pinned to rival Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in the sub-continent markets, is offered in a total of six variants and comes in six body paints -- Sunset Red, Golden Bronze, Diamond White, Panther Black, Moondust Silver and Smoke Grey.

At the heart, the all-new Ford Endeavour houses two TDCi diesel-engines -- 3.2-litre Duratorq five-cylinder TDCi diesel and 2.2-litre Duratorq four-cylinder TDCi diesel units. While the 2.2-litre engine develops 158bhp and 385Nm of torque, the 3.2-litre engine develops 197bhp and 470Nm of torque. In the 2.2-litre version, the engine come paired to both a six-speed manual and automatic transmission and claims to deliver a mileage of 14.12 kmpl with manual transmission and 12.62 kmpl with automatic transmission.

Coming to the dimensions of the all-new Endeavour, the SUV measures 4,892 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,837 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm and offers a ground clearance of 225 mm.

The all-new Ford Endeavour, which now comes with a chiseled design, boasts a prominent front chrome grille with projector headlamps and signature LED daytime running lights. It also features Electric Panoramic Sunroof, which opens up to the first two seating rows.

Coming to the cabin, Endeavour, which offers environment for up to seven occupants houses dual-zone AC-automatic climate control, cruise control, fold-flat second and power-fold third-row and Terrain Management System. It features Sync-2 in-car connectivity technology which allows drivers to use simple voice commands to control the car's entertainment system, cabin temperature and connect mobile devices.

On the safety front, Ford's new SUV offers ABD with EBD, electronic stability programme, traction control system, Hill launch and Hill Descent Control and up to seven airbags -- dual front airbags, side, curtain airbags and driver knee airbags.

The bookings for new Endeavour are open in the country.
