2016 Ford EcoSport Facelift Spied in India; Launch on Cards? [PHOTOS]

The new EcoSport facelift, which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, 2015, has been spied testing on Indian roads, not long after the company announced the commencement of bookings for the model in Europe.

Motor buffs at Team BHP have managed to snap the new 2016 Ford EcoSport facelift, which has undergone changes both inside and outside.

Although there has been no official confirmation on the arrival of the Ford EcoSport facelift in India so far, the sighting of the new model on Indian roads could be a good indicator of an early launch of the model.

In the pictures, the prototype of the EcoSport is seen without the rear-mounted spare wheel and roof rails. The EcoSport facelift, which was shown at the Geneva Motor Show 2015, has also received changes in the cabin such as colour four-inch display, partial leather seats standard for Titanium models, winter packs that includes heated windscreen, mirrors, seats and rear seat ducting.

Under the hood, the EcoSport facelift is likely to be the same as the current model, but with minor tweaks for improved suspension.

Currently, the 1.5L petrol engine gives 112PS power and 140Nm torque and the revolutionary EcoBoost. EcoSport engine churns out a power of 125PS and 170Nm torque, with a mileage of 18.9kmpl.
