"We are happy to introduce the new colour variant of the new Chevrolet Cruze on the auspicious occasion of Holi. The 'Burnt Coconut' colour makes the Chevrolet Cruze line-up even more vibrant and stylish. The new premium colour will be available without any additional cost," Jack Uppal, vice president of marketing & customer experience at General Motors India said in a statement.
The new 2016 Chevrolet Cruze sedan was launched in the country in January with updated features like the MyLink infotainment system and rear view camera. The model has been priced at Rs 13.95 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The Cruze comes with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder VCDi diesel engine, which generates 165bhp of power and 380Nm of torque mated to either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The automatic version delivers fuel economy of 14.81kmpl, while the manual variant returns a fuel efficiency of 17.9kmpl as per the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT).
On the safety front, the Cruze packs anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic sensors, two side air bags, passive entry passive start (PEPS) that automatically controls the central locking system, anti-theft alarm and ignition. On the outside, the car features new LED daytime running lamps, chrome horizontal slats and new projector fog lamps.
"The new Cruze has been well appreciated in the marketplace and the addition of the new colour is a testimony to our commitment in this important market segment," Uppal added.
