Tata Safari Storme's Automatic variant has been caught on camera, probably for the first time while undergoing testing in India, not long after we heard that the company had silently launched the facelifted avatar of Safari Storme.
Snapped by Team BHP, the spotted test mule of new 2015 Safari Storme was seen wearing Automatic sticker on the rear windshield of the model, indicating that the company has begun testing the variant. If the emerging reports are to be believed, the automatic variant of Tata Safari Storme is likely to get 6-speed automatic transmission that can handle a torque of 400 Nm. Apart from the change in the gearbox, the automatic Safari Storme is likely to boast same styling changes received by the facelifted avatar of the model.
2015 Tata Safari Storme facelift, which made its market debut just a couple of days ago, got changes both inside and outside. The model has been launched at a starting price of ₹10.41 lakh (ex- showroom Delhi) and comes with features such as new three-spoke steering wheel like the one we saw in Zest and Harman infotainment system.
Under the hood, Tata Safari Storme facelift gets 2.2-liter VariCor diesel engine that is now retuned to churn out an increased power of 150PS and the torque remains the same, 320Nm.
