South Korean automaker Hyundai is all set to pull the cover off its new Verna facelift sedan in India on 18 February.
The fans of Verna already have a clear picture on what to expect on the arrival of the new facelifted avatar of their favourite sedan since it has made innumerable appearance in the cyber space through spy shots and leaked reports.
Days ahead of the car launch in the country, coming our way are the complete details of new Verna, including the design and the features. The bookings for Hyundai new Verna facelift are already underway in the country with a downpayment ranging from 10,000-21,000.
4S Fluidic Verna (4S stands for Style, Safety, Speed, and Sophistication), the name given to the latest in the Verna line-up has adopted a design similar to the existing version, but with minor tweaks to give it a fresh look.
Visually, the new Verna facelift gets wing-shaped front grille with projector headlamps and new fog lights. At the rear, there is a reworked bumper and the side profile of the car includes chrome handle for the door and 16-inch diamond cut alloys.
Inside the cabin, Verna facelift remains almost similar to the one currently in the market in its style and design. The top-end variant of new Verna gets new features like 6-speaker audio system with 1 GB of internal storage, 6 airbags, ABS and EBD.
Coming to the engine line-up of new Verna facelift, the same 1.4-litre diesel and petrol engines and 1.6-litre diesel and petrol engines continue to power the new model. While the 1.4-litre petrol engine is tuned to churn out 107 PS of power and 135 Nm of torque with a mileage of 17.43 km/l, the 1.6 litre petrol unit is capable of generating 123 PS of power and 155 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual and 4-speed AT.
On the other hand, the 1.4 litre diesel unit can churn out 90 PS of power and 220 Nm of torque with a mileage of 24.8 kmpl and the 1.6-litre diesel is tuned to produce 128 PS of power and 260 Nm of torque.
Verna facelift, which is pitted against Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, and Maruti Ciaz in the domestic market, is likely to get a price tag in the range of ₹7.30 lakh to ₹11.50 lakh.
