Hero MotorCorp Ltd unveiled the 2015 Hero Hunk facelift on its website priced at Rs 69,795 for single disc variant and Rs 72,825 for the double disc variant, ex-showroom Delhi.
The new Hunk is powered by the 149.2cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that also does duty in the 150cc stablemate, the Xtreme Sports. The ATFT engine develops 15.6bhp at 8500rpm and 13.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm mated to five-speed transmission. The previous engine used to develop 14.2bhp and 12.8Nm of torque.
Apart from the change in the powertrain, the new Hunk comes with new graphics, new instrument cluster with side stand indicators, and Inverted GRS suspension. The motorcycle is available in six colours -- Bold Brown, Panther Black, Matte Black, Ebony Grey, Force Silver and Blazing Red.
The new hunk measures 2080mm in length, 765mm in width, 1095mm in height with wheelbase of 1325mm. The motorcycle weighs 130kg and also comes with 163mm of ground clearance. The suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at front while rear gets swing arm with five-step adjustable inverted gas reservoir suspension. A 240mm disc brake for front tyre is standard while a 220mm disc for rear tyre is optional.
The new Hunk facelift will be pitted against the Honda CB Unicorn 160, upcoming CB Hornet, Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha FZ range.
