New Ford Figo hatchback's spy shots have surfaced online, showing the prototype of the model with no exterior camouflage.
We already know that Ford's new Figo hatchback, which is 'Ka' in Brazil, is getting ready to make its market debut in India, sometime this year. Now a Copper coloured new Figo hatchback has been spotted in the wild, giving the auto enthusiasts in the country an early glimpse of the model in its completely undisguised avatar. From the picture, the new colour shade of the 2015 Figo hatchback and the hexagonal front grille gives the model an aggressive look. The spotted model is believed to be the top-end diesel version of upcoming Figo hatchback Titanium and was seen with roof spoiler and new alloy rims inside the cabin. The new Figo gets Ford's SYNC multimedia system, automatic climate control and electronic folding mirrors and safety features like dual front air bags.
Under the hood, Figo hatchback is expected to 1.2 litre petrol motor and 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine, which can generate a power of 89bhp and a peak torque of 204Nm. The same, which is sold as Ford Ka in Brazil, gets power from naturally-aspirated 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, which can churn out a power of 85bhp and peak torque of 10.7kgm.
The new Figo will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Tata Bolt. To be produced at the company's Sanand plant in Gujarat, Figo hatchback is likely to be priced at around ₹4 lakh.
