Just a few hours before the first match kicks off at Chile, viewers around the world will be treated to a mega spectacle with lots of light, colours and music at Santiago's National Stadium during the opening ceremony of Copa America 2015.
Football has always been one of the most important sport in South America and with Copa being staged in Chile, expect one hell of an entertaining show during the ceremony.
With the shows choreography designed by Catalan Hansel Cereza, one can expect a top notch opening ceremony, similar to that of the Olympics.
Catalan Hansel Cereza was also responsible for the Olympic Games in Barcelona. Barcelona artist Salvador Niebla has composed the music that is going to be used in the ceremony.
Artists involved in the opening night are also excited about it and one of the organisers, Esteban Icardi, stated that there are lots of surprises and the ceremony will be magical.
"We have been giddy with excitement these last few days because time is hurrying along however we have a rather large team who are preparing a beautiful show. It will be magical and with lots of surprises," Xinhua News Agency quoted Esteban Icardi as saying.
"Our show has been planned so the cast will not stand on the National Stadium's pitch so as to take better care of the grass for the Copa America matches. Therefore, one of the surprises is that all participating countries will fly from the audience to the stage," revealed Icardi.
Apart from such things, high level of technology is also going to be used in the ceremony to make the event a more grandeur affair. The ceremony is reportedly going to last for 20 minutes.
After the opening ceremony gets over, the action will move on to some serious football as host nation Chile takes on Ecuador in the first match of the competition.
In the coming days, big stars such as Lionel Messi, Neymar and Alexis Sanchez are going to enthral audience with their football skills on the pitch.
