BMW is expected to launch the new range of its Mini cooper (3- and 5-door) versions in India on 19 November and just days ahead of the launch, official brochures of the Mini hatchback have surfaced online, giving a complete picture of what to expect on the arrival of these new models.
The images of leaked brochures of Mini 3 and 5 Door came from the serial tipster GaadiWaadi and from the pictures it looks like the new range of Mini has many surprises in store for the auto enthusiasts in the country.
The soon-to-be-launched, 3-door Mini will replace the current 3 door Cooper, which came on the market last year .This time, BMW is also bringing in the all new 5-door version of the Cooper for the Indian fans who love space and roomy interiors along with a sporty look.
Both the variants of Mini are bigger than the current model and also accommodate modern-day features. Based on the UKL front-wheel drive architecture, the 3-door variant of Mini measures 3,821 mm in length, 1,727 mm in width and 1,414 mm in height. On the other hand, the 5-door cooper comes seated on a wheelbase of 2,567mm and measures 3,982 mm in length, 1,727 mm in width and 1,425 mm in height.
The engine line-up of Mini will include 1.5 liter three cylinder turbocharged petrol and diesel motors and the top-of-the line Cooper S version will get powerful 2 liter four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. As for the features, the 2014 Mini will include a 6.5 inch TFT display along with optional 8.8 inch screen, newly styled instrument cluster, tyre pressure control, Head-Up-Display and front and side airbags.
Expect the Mini, both 5-door and 3-door versions, to fall in the price bracket of 30 lakh (Ex-showroom).
