Mahindra's new Scorpio facelift is all geared up to entice the auto lovers in the country in this festive season.
The details of the SUV, which has been spied testing in the country numerous times have already been out before its fast approaching launch and now a new report on an automobile website throws more details of the Scorpio facelift, including the variant details.
Scorpio facelift, the new avatar of India's popular Scorpio is expected to make its debut in the country on 25 September.
The company has officially started taking bookings of the new Scorpio facelift with an advance amount of ₹20,000. The company has also teased an image of its new Scorpio, highlighting its new LED daytime running lights.
Now a new IndianAutosBlog report says that the new Mahindra Scorpio will be launched in five variants- S2, S4, S6, S8 and S10 and the SUV will come donned in five colours, including two new shades – Diamond White, Fiery Black, Mist Silver, Molten Red and Regal Blue.
Going by the report, the seating configuration of the variants will differ and the S10 model, the high end Scorpio facelift will come fitted with features like Dual Airbags, ABS, alloy wheels, touchscreen infotainment system, Rain & Light sensors, Steering mounted audio & cruise controls, Reverse Parking Assist, Micro-Hybrid technology.

Under the hood, the new Scorpio facelift will pack the same 2.2 litre four-cylinder turbo-charged mHawk diesel engine, which powers the current Scorpio model. The engine currently has the capacity to churn out 120 bhp power and 290 Nm torque and rumours suggest that the transmission of the new Scorpio might come from upgraded five-speed manual gearbox.
Expected to fall in the price range of ₹8 -₹13 lakh, the new Scorpio facelift is likely to enhance styling with new stylish headlights and grille along with the new LED taillights.
Inside the cabin, the SUV is likely to feature automatic climate control, rectangular design central consoles AC vents, steering-mounted controls for audio and cruise control.
When launched, the Scorpio facelift will be pitted against Tata Safari Storme, Renault Duster and Nissan Terrano.
