The test mule is believed to be the top-end variant of Scorpio. The vehicle parades a new set of headlamps, the front grille, a revised front bumper and the revamped tail lamps on the exterior. As far the interior is concerned, the all new Scorpio appears to be inspired from the XUV 500. The test mule interior sports beige paint job and features AC vents in rectangular shape. According to Cartoq, the car also sports a redesigned infotainment system.
On the mechanical front, the upcoming Scorpio is likely to draw its power from the same 2.2 litre turbo-diesel engine that powers the current version, which can churn out a power of 120 bhp with a torque of 290 Nm. Going by the rumours, the new Scorpio might also get 6-speed automatic transmission for improved performance. Considering the fact that the competition in the SUV market is getting tougher every day and the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio Facelift is spotted again and again in different parts of India, the imminent launch of Scorpio is inevitable.
