Elite i20, the new generation model of Hyundai's successful i20 is also proving to be one of the bests in the country. A new report of IndianAutos Blog says that the Elite i20 has already crossed 12,000 bookings in India and still counting.

Launched on 11 August, Elite i20 is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options in India. As of now, there is no automatic variant of Elite i20 available in India, but if the recent reports are to be believed, the company will also bring automatic Elite i20 to the country soon.

Elite i20 comes in five trims - Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz (O) and Asta and in seven colour options - Red Passion, Pristine Blue, Mystic Blue, Star Dust, Midas Gold, Polar White and Sleek Silver.

Under the hood, the car packs 1.2 litre petrol engine and 1.4 litre CRDi diesel motor. While the petrol engine of Elite i20 can churn out 83 PS of power and peak torque of 114 Nm, the diesel motor is tuned to generate 90 PS of power and peak torque of 220 Nm.

As far as the design and styling of the new i20 are concerned, the company has worked on the front and rear profile of the car as well as the side. The car's new look is stunning and is more appealing with its hexagonal grille at the front and also the new boomerang tail-lights.

In terms of the features, Elite i20 hosts multi-steering mounted audio controls, Bluetooth integrated 2 Din audio with USB and Aux-in and 1GB internal storage, rear AC vents, push start-stop button and automatic temperature control. There are also safety features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), four passenger airbags and reverse-parking camera.
