The trailer of Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer "2 States" has finally been unveiled.
Chetan Bhagat's bestselling novel made into a film has created a lot of buzz with movie goers and the trailer lives up to their expectations.
The three minute trailer is indeed exciting with eye catching chemistry of the lead pair. As is the norm with Dharma production's grand scale venture, the film backed by three production houses looks colourful, entertaining, impressive but most of all relatable to the original story
The sparks between Arjun-Alia as the culturally opposed couple is extremely convincing and the intimate scenes between the actors appear quite spontaneous. Amrita Singh as Arjun's nagging outspoken Punjabi mother versus Revathy, the south Indian prim and proper mother are an absolute delight. Ronit Roy's presence in the promo is comparatively lesser, but reminds us of his stern father image in "Udaan".
The trailer also provides glimpses of IIM-A, Bhagat's Alma Mater, while the funny exchanges arising from cultural discrepancies of the families appear compelling.
With such an absorbing trailer, our hopes on "2 States" have certainly shot notches higher.
"2 States" backed jointly by UTV Pictures, Dharma Productions and Sajid Nadiadwala Pictures is for an 18 April release.
