"2 States" remained steady at the domestic and international markets. The romantic film dominated the overseas market and has performed exceptionally well at the US-Canada box offices.
For the third consecutive week, Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor starrer "2 States" ruled the box office worldwide.
Within 4 May, the romantic film raked in ₹10.05 crore ($1,668,255) from the US box office, while ₹1.87 crore (US$ 310,339) from Canada. The combined total of the US and Canada box office is ₹11.92 crore, according to Bollywood Hungama.
The second best earnings of the film is from the UK box office, where it accumulated ₹4.68 crore (£ 461,164) from 17 days. Data from UAE-GCC market yet to be updated, but it minted ₹3.93 crore till second weekend.
"2 States" has also performed well at the Australian market, while New Zealand and Malaysia's total is quite low.
From Australian market, the film earned ₹2.22 crore (A$ 397,420), from New Zealand ₹65 lakh (NZ $ 124,625) and from Malaysia ₹15.44 lakh (MYR 83,490).
In India, the business of the film slightly declined on third Monday. However, "2 States" is still the second film of the year after "Queen" to fetch in decent amount from the box office.
This week seven films are releasing including Rajinikanth's "Kochadaiiyaan" which will affect "2 States" screen count. "2 States" needs to rake in around ₹5 crore to touch ₹100 crore mark in India and for that the film has to perform well during the weekdays.
