The Hindi version of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0 (Robot 2.o) has continued its dream run at the north India box office on its second Saturday and its 10-day collection has now breached the Rs 150 crore mark.
Having opened to good response, the Hindi version of 2.0 collected Rs 139.75 crore net at the north India box office in an eight-day-extended first week. It went on to become the highest grossing film for Akshay Kumar, second highest grossing Hindi dubbed film and sixth top-grossing Hindi movie of 2018.
But trade experts predicted that the dream run of 2.0 would be halted by Kedarnath as it would eat into its screens, shows and footfalls in the second week. The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer remained undeterred and collected Rs 5.85 crore net at the north India box office on its second Friday, taking its nine-day total to Rs 145.60 crore net. It inched closer to the Rs 150 crore mark.
The Shankar-directed sci-fi action thriller needs to collect Rs 4.40 crore to breach the Rs 150 crore mark and it has gone on to show substantial growth on second Saturday. As per early estimates, 2.0 has collected over Rs 9.15 crore net at the north India box office on its 10th day, taking its total to Rs 154.75 crore net.
