Rajinkanth-Akshay Kumar's 2.0 (Hindi) has witnessed a drop in its collection on day 5 (Monday) after enjoying a good weekend in the Hindi belt. However it has still managed to earn in double figures, which is a good sign.
Director Shankar's sci-fi action-thriller opened to a descent start at the box office on Thursday by earning Rs 20.25 crore on day 1. On day 2 (Friday), the movie witnessed a decline and earned Rs 18 crore.
Hindi version of Rajinikanth's film witnessed tremendous growth over the weekend, on day 3 [Saturday - 37.14 per cent and day 4 [Sunday - 41.67 per cent], in its collection and minted Rs 25 crore and Rs 34 crore respectively.
On day 5 (Monday), 2.0 Hindi suffered almost over 50 per cent decline in its collection and managed to mint Rs 13.75 crore according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The dip is obvious as it was a normal working day. The total movie business of 2.0 Hindi now stands at Rs 111 crore.

"After packing an impressive total in its *extended* opening weekend, #2Point0 stays SUPER-STRONG on the crucial Mon... Collecting double digits on a working day [Mon] - without enhanced ticket rates - indicates it has stamina to perform well on weekdays. Note: HINDI version," he added.
To put up a strong total at the box office, 2.0 must keep a tight grip till next Thursday which will decide the fate of the Rajinikanth and Akshay starrer.
2.0, which also stars Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Adil Hussain, Riyaz Khan and others, was released with a massive screen count across India. The movie was made with a budget of Rs 543 crore as revealed by director Shankar.
