The makers of 2.0 (Enthiran) might have taken measures to protect their movie from hitting the pirate sites, but it has not helped them to much extent as the full movie with different qualities has made it to the internet.
The production house had formed a team to bring down the pirated links of 2.0 and it had listed out 12,000 links of the websites involved in the piracy. Despite their best efforts, the Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar-starrer 2.0 has been leaked on a few torrents sites that include notorious Tamil Rockers, which had issues a open threat to leak the complete film for "free downloading"on its site.
However, it is unlikely to impact the collection of 2.0 as it is a movie to be enjoyed in theatres. The Shankar-directorial is a 3D film with 4D sound and it can be experienced to fullest when watched in good cinema halls which have good picture and sound qualities.
Coming back to piracy, it has been looming large over not only Kollywood but also other film industries across the world. Though many strict measures and policies have been implemented by governments, none of them has been successful in curbing the menace.
Under the leadership of Vishal, President of Tamil Film Producers' Council and Secretary of Nadigar Sangam, the anti-piracy cell in Kollywood has taken proactive measures and has brought down many websites and domains of notorious Tamil Rockers, yet the piracy has continued to exist.
All the recent biggies like Sarkar and Seema Raja hit the pirate sites hours after the first show.
