Director Shankar's sci-fi thriller 2.0 starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar has crossed Rs 700 crore mark worldwide after three weeks of its successful run at the box office.
The movie had grossed Rs 500 crore worldwide mark in its first week itself thanks to the positive word of mouth and the star power of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.
The Hindi dubbed version of 2.0 also fared well at the box office and its total gross now stands at Rs 183.75 crore taking the total gross collection of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer to Rs 710.98 crore.

A sequel to Shankar's 2010 blockbuster Enthiran, 2.0 has been produced by Lyca Productions and released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi on November 29. The movie which features Rajinikanth in three different avatars and Akshay Kumar as the antagonist Dr Richard/Crowman, also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in important roles.
The film has been made on a budget of Rs 600 crore.
