Rajinikanth's 2.0 witnessed fantastic growth at the box office across the country on Sunday, December 2. In many centres, the multilingual film posted its best numbers in four-day opening weekend.
To begin from its home territory of Tamil Nadu, 2.0 has minted Rs 53.2 crore in four days. The Sunday collection came closer to the first day collection of the movie. It had a slow start in the state, but gained momentum on Saturday and Sunday, say trade reports.
In Andhra and Telangana, the Rajinikanth-starrer has come out with flying colours. In the first two days, the film had performed better than in Tamil Nadu. So far, it has raked in Rs 49.1 crore from the two Telugu speaking states and will breach into Rs 50-crore club on Monday.
In Karnataka, the film has earned around Rs 20 crore in four days. Whereas it has collected above Rs 10 crore in Kerala. The collection here is not up to the mark.
The Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth's flick has grossed Rs 132.3 from South India alone. A rough estimate indicates that 2.0 has grossed over Rs 130 crore in North India to take the domestic box office collection to Rs 262.3 crore.
Coming to the overseas box office, 2.0 has made notable business in the US, UK, Malaysia and a few other countries. From the reported screens from international circuit, It has raked in Rs 21+ crore in the US, Rs 4.87 crore in Australia, Rs 3.77 crore in the UK, Rs 2.86 crore in Malaysia, around Rs 90 lakh in New Zealand, Rs 33.08 lakh in Singapore and Rs 13.73 lakh in Germany.
Overall, Sunday was fantastic day for 2.0 at the global box office and the rough estimation clearly shows that the flick has minted over Rs 300+ crore.
Meanwhile, the makers, from their official Twitter handle, has claimed that the flick has breached into Rs 400 crore club. "History in the making! 400 CRORES WORLDWIDE!
