The makers of Rajinikanth's forthcoming movie 2.0 aka Enthiran 2 have thanked director Rohit Shetty for delaying the release of his movie Golmaal 4.
The Bollywood flick was supposed to lock horns with the multilingual flick 2.0. Realising that two big films releasing at the same time will affect both the films at the box office, Rohit Shetty decided to delay the release of his much-hyped Hindi flick Golmaal 4.
Thanking Rohit Shetty's gesture, Raju Mahalingam, the creative head of Lyca Productions, tweeted, "Rohitji, thanks for the magnanimous support given for 2.0 !!! You are Indeed a great fan of our @superstarrajini !!! [sic]"
Rohit Shetty had earlier expressed that he was a big fan of Rajinikanth. As a tribute to the Tamil superstar, he had come out with song 'lungi dance' in his blockbuster movie Chennai Express, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the leads.
Golmaal 4 is written by Neeraj Vora and Yunus Sajawal. Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor are in the lead roles. The first three instalments in the franchise had turned out to be money-spinners at the box office. As a result, the latest project has created a lot of buzz.
However, apart from Golmaal 4, the release plan of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next movie with Atlee Kumar has also gone for changes. It was also supposed to hit the screens for Deepavali. Now, it is likely to be released for Navaratri.
Coming back to Enthiran 2, the movie directed by Shankar is a science fiction being made with a budget of Rs 360 crore. Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson are also in the leads.
