Aamir Khan has said that he is a big fan of Rajinikanth and he wishes to work with the Tamil superstar. The Bollywood actor also said that he is eagerly looking forward to the actor's next film 2.0, which is popularly being called Enthiran 2.
At an event in Mumbai, Aamir Khan said that people watch Rajinikanth's films irrespective of language barriers. He personally wants the Tamil superstar to work in a Hindi movie now. Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan had earlier worked together in Aatank Hi Aatank.
It was earlier said that Shankar had approached Aamir Khan to play the villain's role in 2.0. But the Bollywood actor is said to have turned down the offer. Akshay Kumar then played the role in the film.
Of late, rumours were also rife that Rajinikanth, who was not happy with Aamir Khan's decision to turn down 2.0, had refused to lend his voice for the Tamil version of Hindi film Dangal. Giving a clarification on the issue, Aamir Khan admitted that he approached Rajinikanth, but after discussing with him they both felt that the idea would not work. Hence, they dropped the idea.
"He is so famous and so recognisable, and his voice won't suit my face. I also felt that and he also felt that after discussing it. But he really loved the film, and he was encouraging," The News Minute quoted Aamir Khan as saying.
Dangal is a biographical sports film, written and directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The Bollywood film will be released worldwide on December 23. The film is based on wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat.
