As per the estimates, 2.0 is released in anywhere between 10,000-11,000 theatres worldwide. In India, the screen count is above 7,500 and over 2,500+ in overseas. The movie has witnessed a big release in international centres like the US (800+ screens), Malaysia (140 cinemas), UAE and GCC (1,220 shows in 100+ locations) and tickets have sold in good numbers in Sri Lanka, France, Australia and in the UK. In India, 2.0, which has Amy Jackson in the female lead, released big in Tamil Nadu (670+ screens), Andhra and Telangana (1,000+), Kerala (450+ screens) and Karnataka (300+ screens). Notably, the movie had a record number of 900 shows in Bengaluru from three version (Tamil+Telugu+Hindi).
Although the full-fledged advance booking of Rajinikanth starrer was commenced just two days before the film's release, it met with a stupendous response from the fans. As a result, a record number of tickets have been sold.
Book My Show and Paytm alone have sold 25 lakh tickets of 2.0 which clearly indicates that the movie is registering a gigantic opening at the box office. It is the same case in single screens in Tamil Nadu too.

[sic]," Rakesh Gowthaman, the MD of Vettri Theatres, shared his excitement on Twitter.
Nikilesh Surya, the MD of another leading cinema hall, Rohini Silver Screens, sold a record number of tickets. "#2Point0 hours before release is the highest pre-booked movie of the year with more than 22k tickets sold @RohiniSilverScr Blockbuster opening for a non-holiday end of the month exam time release!! Thalaivar [sic]," he posted on Twitter.
Taking advance booking into consideration, 2.0 is expected to mint over Rs 125 crore on the opening day at the worldwide box office.
Meanwhile, 2.0 has opened to fairly positive reviews from the critics and audience. Hence, the movie is expected to do well in the next few days.
