The collection of Lyca Productions-funded 2.0 has not dropped drastically in the US as the Rajinikanth's film is managing to pull the audience to theatres. Even on weekdays, the film is doing a decent business in the North America.
The film breached into $5 million club by the end of its second weekend at the US box office and the early estimation say that the film has raked in over $85,000 in the next two days from the three versions (Tamil, Telugu and Hindi).
The Shankar's 2.0 had garnered a lot of hype in this region and the first-day collection was not up the mark after the premieres were cancelled at the last minute for some reasons. Further, the mixed reviews was expected to play the spoilsport.
However, the collection saw a great improvement in the following days. Hence, turning out to be the highest-grossing Tamil movie in the US. It is the third third highest-grossing South Indian movie in the US after Baahubali 2 ($20,571,695) and Baahubali 1 ($6,999,312).
