A wedding might be on the cards for yet another Duggar child, as it has been revealed that Josiah Duggar has officially entered into a courtship with 17-year-old Marjorie Jackson.
The 18-year-old star of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting" revealed to People magazine that he got to know Jackson a few years back while taking Spanish lessons from her mother. But they started courting only a few days back, nearly four months after they both went on a mission trip to El Salvador in December.
"She really caught my eye," Duggar said when asked about their December trip. "That is really where I noticed her."
""It's been going very well. I met Marjorie a few years ago, when I was taking Spanish lessons at her house, and I was very impressed with the way she was with her siblings and her love for the Lord."
For Jackson, the attraction was instant. She told the magazine she has been fond of the Duggar sibling ever since she first met him.
"I met him at Spanish class a few years back," she said. "For me it was an immediate thing. I have always admired him and his family."
Here are a few facts listed on the Duggar Family Blog about Josiah's potential bride:
"She is the oldest daughter of Greg and Analucia Jackson. Her sisters are Genevieve, Melody, Harmony, and Felicity. She is homeschooled and fluent in Spanish, thanks to her Guatemalan mother. She is already a published author. In her book, "The Greatest Book You've Never Read," Marjorie shares why the Bible is worth reading."
All Duggar siblings are encouraged to enter into a courtship where they go on chaperoned dates, and refrain from any physical intimacy before getting married. Josiah's siblings Josh, Jill and Jessa have all courted their partners before entering into wedlocks, and their courtship is usually documented in their family's reality show that airs Tuesdays on TLC.
Reportedly, this week's episode will contain a special message from the new couple.
