After overshooting her due date by two weeks, Jill Duggar gave birth to her first child, Isarel David, around midnight on 6 April.
Jill's husband David Dillard posted two pictures of the newborn on Instagram. "It's so surreal to think we have a son! I love him so much!" he captioned the picture that he took of his baby boy.
In the family picture, Derrick and Jill both look happy and relieved to finally have their baby in their arms. The newborn is seen yawning in this one and fans are commenting to congratulate them. Some even said that it is the cutest baby they have ever seen.
The couple was waiting for the baby since 24 March. David had expected the baby to be born on 29 March, as it was the day when they had gotten engaged. But as Jill did not go into labour, the family hoped for an Easter baby.
Jill's brother Josh Duggar, with his family, visited their home in Arkansas. Josh's wife Anna Duggar is also pregnant with their fourth child and she is due to deliver after three months. But that did not stop them for coming down to their parents' place and preparing for Jill to deliver.
Fans of "19 Kids and Counting" were eagerly waiting for the first glimpse of Jill and David's baby. David kept the fans on their toes with anticipation as he kept on posting Jill's pictures throughout the pregnancy. Before the Easter weekend, Jill experienced the "Braxton-Hick's" labour pain, which had everyone believing that the baby will come soon.
TLC will air a special episode special on the baby's birth in a two-hour "19 Kids and Counting" episode, which will mainly focus on the "highly anticipated birth of Jill and Derick Dillard's baby", but the fans will also get Jill's mother Michelle Duggar's "best motherly advice".
