Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi has reportedly revealed that the company will sell more than 10,000 Mi3 units in India on the next week's flash sale day.
Xiaomi took to Facebook to confirm the news that 15,000 units will be available for purchase on 5 August.
This time company is selling 5,000 more units than the previous two flash (10,000 units each time) sales last month, to mark the popular Indian festival Raksha Bandhan, which celebrates brother-sister relationship.
This news is certain to bring cheers to fans who failed to buy the phone two previous flash sale, where in the devices flew off the shelves in a jiffy.
More than 100,000 people had registered to purchase on 29 July, but the company ran out of Mi3 stocks in a record 5 seconds time, faster than the 22 July flash sale, which took less than 39 minutes to sell all the devices. It faced lot of flak for keeping very low stocks and for not being transparent about revealing details of units available for sale.
Many thought the flash sales was part of a marketing gimmick to get attention, which has been successful in China.
But, recently the company got penalised for reporting false Redmi handset sales figure in Taiwan. FTC (Fair Trade Commission) slapped a NT$600,000 (around $20,000/₹12, 16, 620) penalty for misleading public, reported Focus Taiwan.
Now, the company has given a heads up to Indian consumers by announcing that 15,000 units will be up grabs on 5 August and so that they can be better prepared this time.
It has to be noted that registered user's who missed out on buying Xiaomi Mi3 on 29 July, will have to once again apply for registration (Interested consumers, click here).
Registration window closes on 4 August mid-night and the sale will kick-off at 2:00 pm noon next day.
