"100 Days of Love", directed by film-maker Kamal's son, Jenuse Mohamed, is set to begin its shooting by 17 August in Bangalore. This is Jenuse's directorial debut, which stars Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead.
The film is touted as a metro-centric romcom entertainer with some breezy moments. The story of the film is based in Bangalore and revolves around the events happening in a period of 100 days.
Dulquer plays the main character of a feature writer in a leading national daily. His life takes a turn when he meets a mysterious girl (played by Nithya); what follows is a series of hilarious, charming tale of romance.
Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen have last appeared together in Anjali Menon's blockbuster, "Bangalore Days" (2014), but did not have any combination scenes.
They previously appeared as a pair in "Usthad Hotel" (2012), directed by Anwar Rasheed and scripted by Anjali Menon. The film was well received by critics as well as the audience. It opened breaking all the records made in the Malayalam industry till then. The film ran in theatres for more than 100 days and became the highest grossing film of the year.
Dulquer's latest release was "Vikramadithyan" directed by Lal Jose. The film opened to positive reviews and is running successfully across the globe. The actor is yet to finish the final schedule of Ranjith's "Njan".
The movie also has Aju Varghese, Shekhar Menon and Vineeth in the cast. The music of the film is done by Govind Menon of "Thaikkudam Bridge" fame. The cinematography is done by Prajeesh Varma, who has cranked the camera for "1983", "Ezhu Sundhara Rathrikal", "Kili Poyi" and "Manglish."
The film will be edited by Sandeep Nandakumar. Sameera Saneesh will take care of the costume department and Ajay Mangad will handle the art direction for the film.
