Movie maker, Eros International Media Ltd has reportedly joined hands with the Bengaluru based smartphone vendor Karbonn Mobiles to release the special edition Rajinikanth branded 'Kochadaiiyaan' handsets this month.
One million Kochadaiiyaan edition mobile phones will be released on the occasion of the movie's audio launch on 15 February.
The new phone is said to come with exclusive Kochadaiiyaan screen savers, wallpapers, trailer video and sound tracks of the movie. However, technical details regarding the specification of the phone are still under wraps.
Kochadaiiyaan was supposed to hit theatres in 2013, but due to unforeseen reasons the movie was postponed. Now the Rajinikanth's starrer film touted as the India's first ever Photorealistic Performance Capture technology movie made out of budget close to ₹100-125 crore is ready for world wide release on 11 April.
"With 'Kochadaiiyaan' Rajinikanth will take the Indian film industry to the next level. We are confident that this will be a landmark film in world cinema as a result of the ground breaking technology used. The film will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Marathi, Bhojpuri, Bengali and Punjabi in India and overseas in more than 6,000 screens. We will be releasing an English version internationally as well" , The Financial Express quoted Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd as saying.
'Kochadaiiyaan' is directed by the superstar's daughter Soundarya Rajnikanth Ashwin. This epic good vs. evil movie consists of star-studded artists - Deepika Padukone (female protagonist), R.Sharath Kumar, Nazar, Aadi, Shoban and Rukmini. That's not all; the movie's music has been composed by Oscar winning artist A.R Rahman.
