"Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is all set to hit another record in its third weekend. The Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer is still holding a very strong position at the box office.
As per early estimates, the romantic film on its third Friday made a business of around ₹3 crore to ₹3.25 crore. The collections declined but is still doing better than new releases like "Fukrey", "Ankur Arora Murder Case" and "Yamla Pagla Deewana 2".
The love story is expected to earn between ₹12 crore and ₹15 crore in its third weekend at the domestic box office, taking the overall collections to around ₹170 crore.
The romantic comedy entertainer earned ₹155 crore in 15 days, making it the third highest grosser film ever in India after "3 Idiots" and "Ek Tha Tiger". (Read the report here)
"YJHD" has done exceptional business in north circuits especially in Delhi, UP, Punjab and Rajasthan. The film also broke the lifetime record of films like "Dabangg 2", "Bodyguard", "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", "Rowdy Rathore" and others.
Ayan Mukherji's directorial film which turned out to be blockbuster in India is now set to release in Russia in the coming months. Late legendary actor and Ranbir's grandfather, Raj Kapoor, is very popular in Russia since the early fifties. And the actor is now happy to showcase his work in the country.
"YJHD will release in Russia in the coming months. Ranbir will be there for three days before the release so that he has time to engage with the media and market the film," a source said, according to IANS.
"Ranbir is excited about this trip and is looking forward to interacting with his fans," the source added.
