Kamal Haasan's spy thriller "Vishwaroopam" continued to rake in money at the overseas box office in its fourth week.
The film, which was released in two versions - Tamil and Telugu - in the UK and the US markets, is still entertaining audiences. After the fourth weekend the film collected a total of ₹9.14 crore from both US and UK box offices.
In its fourth weekend, the Tamil version minted ₹9.53 lakh (£ 11,370) from 11 screens in the UK and ₹11.48 lakh ($ 21,189) from 11 screens in the US. The Telugu version of the film, which was released in US theatres, only raked in ₹2.84 lakh ($ 5,246) from six screens.
The fourth weekend total of the movie stands at ₹23.85 lakh.
The controversial film is also rocking the Indian box office and is said to have crossed the ₹100 crore mark. But the news is not yet confirmed by Kamal, who is also the director and co-producer of the film. The film is doing amazing business in India especially in Tamil Nadu, where it was released 13 days after its scheduled release date.
Apart from Kamal, the film also features Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and Jaideep Ahlawat in important roles.
Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu starrer "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" is still into its sixth weekend on just one screen at the US box office. The Telugu family drama collected ₹14,635 ($270) and its total earnings stand at ₹8.88 crore.
