Kamal Haasan's "Vishwaroopam 2" is likely to have a solo release worldwide to get maximum number of screens instead of clasing with another big film this Diwali.
It was speculations that the spy thriller might clash with Ajith's "Arrambam", which is expected to hit the screens on Diwali, but it seems Kamal is eyeing for a solo release in November or December.
Confirming the news, senior film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Vishwaroopam2. My sources r telling me it will b a solo release Nov/Dec 2 get max screens & Hindi version gets wide opening."
The shooting of the film is currently progressing at a rapid pace. The team is camping in Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu, to shoot some portions of the film.
"Vishwaroopam 2" is said to have lot of action sequences involving Kamal and the leading actress Pooja Kumar. One of the highlights of the film is the breathtaking underwater stunts performed by the lead pair.
Talking about her experience in the film, Pooja told The Times of India, "This one is even more exciting than the first one. In this, I'm not the nagging wife but indulge in lots of action and my expertise as a scuba diver has been put to full use."
"It was real fun shooting the film and of course shooting with Kamalji. In fact, we have Waheeda Rehmanji also in the film, so as an actor, I couldn't have asked for better co-actors," she said.
It may be recalled that "Vishwaroopam" (first part) was mired by a controversy involving some Muslim groups which affected the film's release. However, Pooja said that there is nothing controversial in the first part as well as in the sequel. "I don't think there is anything controversial in this film. Neither was it in the first one," she told the daily.
Directed by Kamal Haasan, "Vishwaroopam 2" will also have Andrea, Shekar Kapur, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Rahul Bose in important roles. M Ghibran of "Vaagai Sooda Vaa" fame ahs composed the music.
