Kamal Haasan's fans will be in for a delight with the shooting of "Vishwaroopam 2" nearing completion. The film's dubbing is almost done and music composer Ghibran is busy with the re-recording process.
Speculations on the release date of "Vishwaroopam 2" have been doing the rounds for quite some time. Latest buzz in Kollywood is that the film might hit the screens in the third week of November. The date is speculated to be 22 November, just three weeks after "Arrambam" and "All in All Azhagu Raja" release during Diwali.
Earlier, it was reported that Kamal is eyeing a solo release to get maximum number of screens and make sure that the film registers a big opening worldwide. The date - 22 November, seems to be ideal for getting a grand opening. By the time "Vishwaroopam 2" hits the screens, the other releases would have enough time to be screened in theatres. Moreover, 22 November is three weeks before Rajinikanth's "Kochadaiiyaan" release, which is aimed for 12 December (Rajinikanth's birthday).
Apparently, Kamal wants to release "Vishwaroopam 2" simultaneously with the Hindi version across the globe. An official confirmation on the same is yet to be made.
Written and directed by Kamal, "Vishwaroopam 2" is a sequel to the spy thriller flick of the same name. The film boasts of a big star cast including Kamal, Shekar Kapur, Waheeda Rahman, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar and Andrea.
"Vishwaroopam" (first part) hits theatres after much delay owing to a controversy involving certain religious groups. The film was released in Tamil Nadu two weeks after the worldwide screening. The Kamal starrer had a big opening and went on to become a big hit at the domestic as well as overseas box office.
According to reports, "Vishwaroopam" raked in over ₹200 crore in collections. In all likelihood, its sequel is also expected to perform well at the box office.
