"VVS" could well be deemed as Siva's third hit film after "Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga" and "Ethir Neechal". The makers of "VVS" believe that the comedy caper will fetch around ₹30 crore nett in lifetime collections.
Speaking to Behindwoods, producer P Madhan said, "The first week net of the movie is close to ₹17 crores and we are expecting a lifetime business in the range of ₹30 crores net. 'VVS' is among the biggest hits of the year and it rivals some of the big star films in terms of collections. All over the state, the response has been good and this is Siva Karthikeyan's biggest hit till date."
"This year has been good for us with the back-to-back successes of films such as 'Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga', 'Desingu Raja' and now the superhit 'VVS'," he added.
The success of "VVS" has placed Sivakarthikeyan in the top league with big stars. This year has been really good for the talented actor as three of his films have become big hits.
Siva will be next seen in "Maan Karate" (Deer Karate) with Hansika Motwani. Directed by Thirukumaran, the fantasy film will also have Vidyut Jamwal, Vamsi Krishna and Nassar in supporting roles. It is produced by Escape Artists Motion Pictures, the same banner that produced "VVS".
