Wednesday's episode of "The Young & The Restless" saw Cady McClain hitting Genoa city. McClain will be seen stepping in the role of Kelly Andrews, replacing Cynthia Watros in the popular day soap. Watros walked out of the show for a new series on MTV. Regarding her new entry in the show, she suggested in an interview with TV Guide that there was lot of pressure on her as she was instantly replacing Watros.
Watros appeared on the Monday's episode and just a day after McClain took over her role. McClain was all praises for Watros, but confessed that she is upping the ante and will give her 100 percent to the role.
Meanwhile, to prepare for the role, McClain has watched Watros' work on "Y&R" and what elements she brought to the character. The two have never spoken directly. When Watros announced that she was leaving the show, it was thought that her character would be written off. However, the makers of the show brought McClain as a replacement. The series will later show McClain's character Kelly falling in love with Jack.
Apart from joining the cast of "Y&R", McClain has released her first book, a memoir titled "Murdering My Youth." The controversial book has just become available on her website and on Amazon.
Moreover, McClain recently tied the knot with fellow soap star Jon Lindstrom. The news of her marriage came as a surprise to many, but her fans think that at the moment McClain is in a great place as far as her personal and professional life is concerned.
