'The X Faxtor' USA 2013 came to an end on Thursday, after weeks of stiff competition with the crowning of this season's champions.
Host Mario Lopez announced Alex & Sierra as the winners of this season on Thursday. The victory was anticipated, after they recieved overwhelming response on iTunes, with two of their songs hitting No.1 on the chart. The winners went home with $1 million and a recording contract with Sony.
The emotional Alex & Sierra sang A Great Big World's "Say Something" after winning the title. They were joined by top 13 contestants of this season.
Rocker Jeff Gutt, 37, came second and Carlito Olivero, 24, third.
"I feel like Christmas came early. Jeff, big respect. You did brilliant in the final, but my heart was with these guys. I genuinely think they deserve it. Thank you, America," said Simon Cowell after his group won this this title.
Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton thanked everybody who voted for them. "We're speechless. We don't even know. This is incredible. Thank you, everybody who's voted," said Kinsey.
Gutt, who put up an inspiring show this season, was gracious in defeat, congratulating the winners - Alex & Sierra - and promising to make records. He also thanked the audience and wished them a "Merry Christmas".
Earlier in the show, top 13 of this season hit the stage for U2's "One" and Jeff Gutt joined Alex & Sierra for John Newman's "Love Me Again." Bringing the spirit of the season to the show, the three finalists sang a Christmas song each.
Carlito Olivero sang "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" on the show and sang Shontelle's "Impossible" and Santana's "Maria Maria" in the finals. He also performed Ben E. King's "Stand by Me" with Prince Royce.

Jeff Gutt sang "O Holy Night" on the final night, outperforming his other two competitors. The mentors gave him a standing ovation for the rendition. He had sung "Aerosmith's "Dream On" and Radiohead's "Creep" in the finals live performance on Wednesday, and joined John Rzeznik to sing Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris".

Alex & Sierra sang "All I Want for Christmas Is You." It was good but not a great rendition. They sang Ed Sheeran's "Give Me Love" and A Great Big World's "Say Something" on Wednesday. They also joined Leona Lewis in singing, "Bleeding Love".

The final night also witnessed many established artists perform. One Direction, Pitbull, Leona Lewis, Lea Michele, and Mary J. Blige performed a song each, but Ke$ha, who was supposed to perform with Pitbull, didn't make it.
