Popular television reality show "The Voice" has returned with season 6 taking off on Monday with the blind auditions.
Season 4 judges Shakira and Usher, who made way for the show's original judges Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green in the previous season, have returned and will be joined by Adam Levine and Blake Sheldon.
The two-hour blind auditions on Monday was exciting with hopeful candidates singing their hearts out to impress the judges. Some made it while some did not as the judges turned their red chairs for eight people in the first blind audition of the season.
Team Adam:
Dawn & Hawkes: The duo impressed Adam Levine with their rendition of "I've Just Seen a Face" by The Beatles. The Maroon 5 singer was so captivated by their performance that he called it as his favorite in "The Voice" history. As expected, the duo chose Adam as their coach.
Christina Grimmie: She sang Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" and nailed it. All judges pressed the button but she went for Adam as her coach.
Team Shakira:
Kristen Merlin: The country singer impressed Shakira with her rendition of Sugarland's "Something More". She wanted Blake but he thought Shakira would make a good coach for her.
Jeremy Briggs: The rocker won the hearts of Blake instantly with his rendition of Bad Company's "Bad Company" but he chose Shakira as his coach.
Team Usher:
TJ Wilkins: Los Angeles soul singer TJ Wilkins sang "Benny And The Jets" by Elton John, winning Usher's heart.
Biff Gore: The 45-year-old father of five blew the four coaches away with his rendition of "A Change Is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke. He chose Usher as coach.
Bria Kelly: The 17-year-old singer won the hearts of judges with her rendition of James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues". Adam and Blake pressed the button instantly but she chose Usher as coach.
Team Blake:
Jake Worthington: The 17-year-old country singer failed to impress the judges in the blind audition of season 5 but got Levine, Blake and Shakira this time around. The comeback boy chose Blake as coach.
