"The Voice" season 6 has began with the blind auditions kicking off on Monday. Judges - Adam Levine, Blake Sheldon, Shakira and Usher - pushed buttons for eight contestants on Day 1.
Blind auditions episode 2 will begin on Tuesday at 8:00 pm EST on NBC Television (6.30 am IST Wednesday).
Shakira and Usher have returned to the show as judges after giving way to original judges Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green in the previous season, while Adam Levine and Blake Sheldon have been in the show since season 1.
On the opening day of the show, Shakira and Adam got two contestants each, Usher has three, while Blake got a lone contestants.
Team Shakira: Kristen Merlin and Jeremy Briggs impressed the judges with their rendition and chose the Latino singer as their coach. Merlin sang Sugarland's "Something More" while Briggs rendered the song "Bad Company" by Bad Company in the auditions.
Team Adam: Dawn and Hawkes duo impressed Adam Levine with their rendition of "I've Just Seen a Face" by The Beatles. The Maroon 5 singer was so captivated by their performance that he called it as his favorite in "The Voice" history. As expected, the duo chose Adam as their coach.
Adam also got Christina Grimmie, who impressed the judges with her rendition of Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball"
Team Usher: TJ Wilkins, who sang "Benny And The Jets" by Elton John, made it to team Usher along with Biff Gore and Bria Kelly. Gore sang "A Change Is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke and Kelly rendered James Taylor's "Steamroller Blues".
Team Blake: The country singer got Jake Worthington, who sang "Don't Close Your Eyes" by Keith Whitley.
