A song from actor Vijay's upcoming film "Thalaivaa" (Leader) has been leaked on the internet, forcing the director to approach the police and file a complaint.
The song "Vanganna Vanakamganna" sung by Vjiay and comedian Santhanam was uploaded illegally on the internet. Following this, producer Chandraprakash Jain and director Vijay met the Commissioner of Police in Chennai and filed a police complaint demanding necessary action to be taken on Tuesday.
"Thalaivaa" shooting has been wrapped up and the film's audio launch is slated for 21 June, a day ahead of actor Vijay's birthday. Music composer G V Prakash had earlier tweeted that the track list of the album will be released on his birthday, which happens to be on 13 June.
The film crew is currently busy with the post production work. According to earlier reports, Vijay will be seen performing a tap dance in "Thalaivaa." The actor, who is known for his dancing skills, reportedly learned tap dance within a few minutes of practice and surprised the entire team.
"Thalaivaa" has been generating a lot of buzz since its launch, as it is said to be a political thriller. Expectations for this film are high following the super success of Vijay's last release "Thuppakki" (Pistol) directed by A R Murugadoss.
Actress Amala Paul will play the female lead opposite Vijay. This is the first time that the two stars will be sharing screen space together. Versatile actor Sathyraj, who appeared in a different character in Vijay's "Nanban", will once again don a pivotal role in "Thalaivaa."
The rest of the cast includes Rajiv Pillai, Abhimanyu Singh, Suresh, Ponvannan, Thambi Ramaiah and Manobala.
"Thalaivaa" is expected to get released in July this year.
