The audio launch of actor Vijay's upcoming film, "Thalaivaa" (Leader) is scheduled to take place on 22 June, coinciding the actor's birthday.
It has become a trend to release first look teasers, trailers and film's audio launches on the birthdays of the lead actors, and the launch of Karthi's "Biriyani" trailer on the eve of his birthday (25 May), was the latest instance.
Confirming the reports about "Thalaivaa" audio launch, the music director of the film, G V Prakash tweeted, "@gowtham939 next release audio is thalaivaa ! For thalapathys bday."
Earlier, speculations were rife on "Thalaivaa" release date. Some reports suggested that the makers of the film were planning to release the film on 22 June, but Prakash's tweet confirmed that the film's audio will be released on the said date. The composer also mentioned that the track list of the album will be released on his birthday, which happens to be on 13 June.
"Thalaivaa" is an upcoming Tamil political thriller film directed by A. L. Vijay. Expectations are high for the film following the success of Vijay's last release "Thuppakki" (Pistol) directed by A R Murugadoss. Amala Paul plays the female lead for the first time in a Vijay film. The rest of the cast includes comedian Santhanam and actor Sathyaraj, who is donning a pivotal role in the flick.
The last schedule of "Thalaivaa" was shot in Australia and the film's crew is currently busy with the post production work. According to sources, Vijay will be performing tap dance in the film. The actor, who is known for his dancing skills, reportedly learned tap dance within a few minutes of practice and surprised the entire crew.
"Thalaivaa" is expected to have a grand release in July, but there is no official confirmation on the exact release date.
