'Thalaivaa': 'Vaanganna Vanakkanganna' Song Teaser Released

The teaser of "Vaanganna Vanakkanganna" song from "Thalaivaa" ("Leader") has been released on the internet. 

The song crooned by Vijay has become an youth anthem of sorts and is ruling all the FM stations. A 20-second song teaser has been released online by the makers of "Thalaivaa." [To check the teaser song, click here] 

Directed by AL Vijay, "Thalaivaa" is about a common man who turns into a leader. The film's music is composed by GV Prakash, who has worked with Vijay (director) in all his earlier films including "Deiva Thirumagal" and "Madrasapattinam."

"Thalaivaa" is all set for a grand release on 9 August. The film has received a "U" certificate from the revising committee, subject to two minor cuts. If a film gets "U/A" or "A" ratings, entertainment tax of 30 percent has to be paid. Films that have a "U" certificate get a tax waiver. It has to be seen if "Thalaivaa" director will be accepting the committee's decision to get a "U" or retain the "U/A" rating (with no cuts) that the censor board had earlier given.

"4 those asking #Thalaivaa censor update- As per sources censor process over. The ball is in the director & producers court. They have to take difficult call whether 2 accept U certificate with cuts or UA without any cuts," film journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted.

"It is a tough call. director Vijay is creative head & it's his baby. He knows what's best 4 film and 2 accept or reject cuts," he said.

"Thalaivaa", deemed as a commercial entertainer, has Amala Paul, Santhanam, Sathyaraj and Rajeev Pillai in supporting roles. It is one of the most-awaited films of the year, thanks to Vijay's star power. The actor's last release "Thuppakki" was a massive hit. The teaser and trailer release of "Thalaivaa" has already generated a lot of buzz. Fans of Vijay are hoping that the film will be a big commercial success.

It needs to be seen if "Thalaivaa" would live up to the expectations of the fans.
