Ajith's "Thala 55" (tentatively titled) has been creating a lot of buzz ever since the film was announced officially.
Recently, there were speculations that director Gautham Menon will be donning a role in the Ajith starrer. However, the director himself has come forward and has denied the rumours. Menon has also said that it is too early to reveal any details about the film and that he will talk about it at the right time, reported Deccan Chronicle.
"I can't divulge any details pertaining to the progress of the movie. It's too early to spill the beans on the project. For now, all I can say is that I'm not playing any role in the movie as speculated by unknown sources. I myself will reveal all the other details about the film at the right time," he told the daily.
The Ajith starrer is one of most-anticipated films of 2014. Expectations are sky high for the big budget entertainer as Ajith will be teaming up with director Menon for the first time. There have been a lot of speculations about the film's plot, Ajith's character, cast and crew members.

Anushka Shetty and Harrish Jayaraj have apparently been approached to be the female lead and the music composer, respectively. There is also a rumour that Amy Jackson of "Madarasapatinam" fame will don a role in the film. However, all these details are yet to be officially confirmed.
It was also speculated that karate expert Shihan Hussaini will be part of the Ajith-Gautham project. However, Hussaini, who has starred in a few Tamil films, refuted the rumours by posting a message on his Facebook page. To read the message, click HERE.
