Aamir Khan's latest film "Talaash: The Answer Lies Within" has received better response at the overseas box office compared to domestic.
The Reema Kagti-directed film has emerged as the third highest grosser film of the year at the overseas box office. The movie, which also stars Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor, collected approximately Rs 50.40 crores till the third weekend, according to koimoi.com.
After the third weekend, the suspense thriller collected approximately Rs 7.39 crore (£ 839,375) at the UK box office, Rs 14.80 crore ($ 2,706,375) at the US box office, Rs 3.62 crore (A$ 630,479) in Australia and Rs 94.52 lacs (NZ$ 205,422) in New Zealand and Fiji.
Shahrukh Khan's romantic movie "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" topped the list this year followed by Salman Khan's "Ek Tha Tiger" at second position.
The grand total of "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" after the fourth week stands at Rs 72 crore ($ 13.09 million) at the overseas box office. The film has also become the third highest grossing film ever in the international market.
"Ek Tha Tiger" stands at second position with grand total of Rs 59.63 cr ($ 10.75 million).
"Talaash" requires approximately Rs 9 crore to push down 'ETT' in the international market and to grab second position. But with the release of new film Dabangg 2" this week, "Talaash" might not be able to reach the mark.
Salman starrer "Dabangg 2" has already created much hype and is getting huge response at the overseas box office.
