Bollywood action thriller, "Table No. 21" raked in ₹1.55 crore at the domestic box office on the opening day, which is relatively not a bad start considering the fact that it is not a big budget film with popular stars.
Directed by Aditya Datt and featuring Rajeev Khandelwal,Tena Desae and Paresh Rawal in the lead roles, "Table No. 21" was released on Friday, January 4. It is an action thriller produced by Eros International.
Popular trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted that "Table No. 21" collected ₹1.55 crore on Friday, adding "Picked up in the evening shows... North biz affected due to severe cold."
However, the film didn't do that well at the overseas box office unlike the recent releases with big stars.
'""Table No 21" - Fri: UK £ 6,145 from 13 locations... Australia A$ 3,446 from 5 locations... USA $ 2,728 from 9 locations," tweeted Taran.
The film may not rake in huge revenue like big-budget flicks "Dabangg 2" starring Salman Khan, "Talaash" starring Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan starrer "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" but is expected to pick up at the box office following acclaims by critics and good word of mouth from viewers.
