Bollywood action thriller "Shootout at Wadala", with its ensemble cast and well-built plot, has managed to rake in high collections at both the Indian and overseas box offices.
The film, starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor and Anil Kapoor, minted a whopping ₹30.7 crore at the domestic box office and ₹4.88 crore at international centres.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, " Despite adult/violent content, which is *not* Overseas friendly genre, #ShootoutAtWadala has performed well in key markets."
"#ShootoutAtWadala Overseas *weekend total* stands at approx $ 900,000 [Rs 4.88 crores]."
'Shootout At Wadala' did a good business in USA market by minting ₹1.13 crore but the film raked the most in the UAE market by collecting ₹2.21 crore in the opening weekend.
"#ShootoutAtWadala *opening weekend* UK £ 84,244 [₹70.91 lacs] ... USA $ 208,000 [₹1.13 cr] ... UAE AED 1.5 million [₹2.21 cr]," Adarsh tweeted.
At the New Zealand box office, "Shootout At Wadala" collected ₹6.86 lakh, while in Australia the film did a business of ₹37.61 lakh.

The Sanjay Gupta-directed film also has Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood playing lead roles. Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpai, Ronit Roy and Mahesh Manjrekar appear in supporting roles.
Inspired by Hussain Zaidi's book "Dongri to Dubai", "Shootout At Wadala' is based on Mumbai police's first registered encounter killing of gangster Manya Surve. The film hit the screens on 3 May.
