Allu Arjun's upcoming Telugu film "Race Gurram" might get released in February.
"Race Gurram" was expected to hit screens during Sankranti in January 2014, and clash with Mahesh Babu's "1-Nenokkadine."
But the Allu Arjun starrer will reportedly not be completed by that time. The shooting of "Race Gurram" is progressing at a brisk pace and the film's team needs another two months to complete the shoot portions and other aspects.
"They are planning to shoot a chase scene with Allu Arjun, Saloni and other artistes in Hyderabad. After that, the unit may shift to Kumbakonam to film a few key scenes," a source close to the unit told Deccan Chronicle.
The daily also reports that if the film takes more time, it might further get pushed to next summer. However, an official confirmation is still awaited in this regard.
Directed by Surender Reddy, "Race Gurram" is deemed as a full-fledged family entertainer. The film has Shruti Haasan playing the female lead opposite Allu Arjun. The stylish star was last seen in "Iddarammayilatho", which turned out to be an average grosser at the box office. He will also be seen doing a cameo in Ram Charan's "Yevadu", which might release in December or January.
Expectations are high for "Race Gurram" as Allu Arjun has teamed up with Surendar Reddy of "Kick" fame. One needs to wait a little longer to find out how the film fares on its release. The film boasts of an ensemble cast including Shaam, Prakash Raj, Suhasini Maniratnam, Bramhanandam, M. S. Narayana, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Mukesh Rishi, Ashish Vidyarthi and Ravi Kishan among many others.
The Allu Arjun starrer will have music composed by Thaman. The film's cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing is done by Goutham Raju. The commercial entertainer, which is reportedly made on a budget of ₹45 crore, is produced by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.
