Romantic film "Raanjhanaa" which garnered huge appreciation is dominating the domestic box office market. The collections of the film have witnessed a huge jump during weekdays.
According to trade analyst Taran Adrash, Tuesday's collection was slightly better than Monday's business.
The romantic film starring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles has raked in approximately ₹3.90 crore on Tuesday. The five day total collection at the domestic box office stands at ₹27.83 crore.
"#Raanjhanaa Fri 5.12 cr, Sat 6.81 cr, Sun 8.15 cr, Mon 3.85 cr, Tue *est* 3.90 cr. Total: ₹27.83 cr nett. Fab," Adarsh tweeted.
"Raanjhanaa" made with on a budget of ₹30 crore is dominating the market over old releases. The film, which was released across more than 1,000 screens, is giving strong competition to films like "Fukrey" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani".
Comedy film "Fukrey" continues to rake in collections at the domestic box office. The comedy film which is in its second week has managed to earn more than ₹1 crore during weekdays.
The 12 day domestic total of the film is ₹28.12 crore.
"Fukrey continues to rock on weekdays. 2nd Week: Mon 1.3 cr, Tue 1.2 cr. Total: ₹28.12 cr," Adarsh tweeted.
Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is completing its fourth week run at the box office. The film dominated the collection centres in India till the release of "Raanjhanaa".
The overall total of "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is ₹183.19 crore after the fourth weekend. Its earnings declined majorly after that, but is still making decent figures.
