Vishesh Bhatt's directorial thriller, "Murder 3" earned over ₹13 crore at the box office in its opening weekend.
"Murder 3" opened to mixed reviews from film critics on Friday, earning ₹4.52 crore on the day of release. It was expected to pick up during the weekend but that didn't happen as the figure didn't five crore.
"#Murder 3 collected approx ₹13.31 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup:- Fri 4.52 cr, Sat 4.01 cr, Sun 4.78 cr," tweeted trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh on Monday.
Going by the first weekend collection, it looks like "Murder 3" will not earn as big as the previous films of the "Murder" series - "Murder" and "Murder 2".
"Murder 3" is a remake of Colombian thriller "The Hidden Face.
The makers of "Murder 3" dropped Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez, and replaced them with Randeep Hooda, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sara Loren for the third installment of the "Murder" series.
