Hrithik Roshan has joined the big league of ₹300 crore club with his film "Krrish 3" crossing the triple century mark at the worldwide box office.
The theatrical run of "Krrish 3" in India and abroad has almost stopped due to new films taking the screen space. However, the film continues to mint from both markets.
"Krrish 3" has become third Indian film to earn more than 300 crore nett from the worldwide box office on its theatrical run, following in the footsteps of "Chennai Express" and "3 Idiots". The combined domestic and overseas total of "Krrish 3" after fifth weekend is more than ₹300 crore.
The international collection of the film stands at ₹56.08 crore ($9 million), while the figures from Indian market is over ₹244 crore.
"#Krrish3 Overseas total *after Weekend 5*: approx [₹ 56.08 crores]. Blockbuster," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Tuesday.
Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" remains the highest grosser film ever with ₹348 crore, followed by Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots" with ₹324 crore.
Hrithik, Shah Rukh, Aamir, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor are the only actors who have joined the ₹300 crore list.
The gross total of the film is much higher than the nett total. The gross domestic total of "Krrish 3" is around ₹320 crore, "Chennai Express" is ₹301 crore, "3 Idiots" is ₹269 crore, "Ek Tha Tiger" is ₹263 crore and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is ₹309 crore, according to Koimoi.com.
