The business of superhero flick "Krrish 3" further declined on Monday (18 November) with the Hrithik Roshan-Priyanka Chopra starrer minting ₹1.39 crore at the domestic box office, according to Bollywood Hungama.
The film has been witnessing a drop in its collections in the last two weeks. The Rakesh Roshan directorial earned ₹9.22 crore in its third weekend, which is quite low compared to its collections on the first weekend (₹72.8 crore) and the second weekend (₹39.74 crore).
On the third Monday, the film raked in just ₹1.39 crore in India. With the inclusion of Monday's collections, the film's total box office figures (as of 18 November) stand at ₹236.61 crore in India. [Note: The collections include earnings from Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions].
The release of "Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela" has largely affected "Krrish 3" collections. The business is likely to drop further in the coming days due to new releases.
But the Hrithik starrer has already been declared an "all time blockbuster." The film has crossed "Chennai Express" lifetime collections at the domestic box office. However, it will not be able to surpass the worldwide collections of the Shah Rukh khan starrer which has reportedly fetched over ₹400 crore. It is unlikely for "Krrish 3" to make it to the ₹300-crore club, considering its current pace.
Interestingly, the success of the superhero flick has left fans asking for another installment in popular franchise. It took nearly seven years for Rakesh Roshan to come out with a sequel to "Krrish". Buzz is that the fourth film in the franchise - "Krrish 4" - might go on floors sooner than expected. There is no information on when the film would take off as Hrithik is currently busy with two projects - "Bang Bang" and "Shuddhi".
